Approximately 60 participants were included and the training focused on pain management.

1.1 1.1.2 <p>Belize enabled to provide quality, people-centered health services for noncommunicable diseases, based on primary health care strategies and comprehensive essential service packages</p> HEARTS - Institutionalization and standardization of hypertension protocols at the Primary care level.

A 100% scale-up of the HEARTS Community Health Workers (CHWs) training was achieved nationally. Between November 2023- June 2024, approximately 300 CHW were trained. Community health workers were exposed to several health management topics, including healthy lifestyle counselling, substance use and abuse, diabetes foot and eyecare, and hypertension measurement and management within the community setting.

To facilitate HEARTS's implementation and national institutionalization, ongoing training continues for primary care providers.
