Supporting Information for Users
Supporting information for procuring, operating and maintaining WHO-prequalified immunization devices and equipment is available from WHO and other UN agencies. On this website, supporting information can be found here below, or under Product categories.
WHO Immunization Devices also encourages product end-users to engage with the WHO Effective Vaccine Management (EVM) global initiative, which works to increase immunization coverage through the continuous improvement of vaccine supply chains. EVM is a tool and process that assesses each component of the immunization supply chain, such as vaccine arrival, storage or management, looking for strengths and weaknesses. This allows countries to develop plans and allocate resources to implement improvements where they are needed most.
Additional support and technical information is also available in the Technet-21 forum. Established by WHO and UNICEF in 1989, Technet is a global network of immunization professionals committed to strengthening immunization services by building relationships, sharing knowledge, coordinating activities, and aligning priorities and goals.
