Intra Action Review

An Intra Action Review is a qualitative review of actions that are taken to respond to an emergency or a public health event as a means of identifying best practices and areas for improvement to be better prepared for the future. It helps to assess the functionality of national capacities for preparedness and response to health emergencies.

The figure illustrates the entry points of each activity supported by the Country Simulation Exercises and Reviews Unit. These activities include Simulation Exercises, with should occur continuously to support operational readiness, Early Action Review, at the beginning of the event, Intra-Action Review at anytime during the event, and, After Action Review, after the event and within three months of its end.
