"The ND0H in South Africa and Public Health England(PHE)/Commonwealth are considering the possibility of hosting a regional workshop on AMR for Southern and Eastern Africa. Marc Mendelson (South Africa’s Chair, Ministerial Advisory Committee on Antimicrobial Resistance) met with PHE s to discuss this. It was agreed that queries needed to be addressed by both sides, in order to take the planning of a workshop forward. Once completed, a teleconference to finalise the concept will be undertaken.
