- Prélever et acheminer des échantillons de sang pour confirmation au laboratoire du centre national de référence pour les fièvres hémorragiques virales (CNR-FHV) du Centre Muraz_x000D_

The overall objective is to strengthen capacity of the Regional Public Health Emergency Management Committee in the management of public health emergency events in the region._x000D_
Specific Objectives_x000D_
i. To access the alert and response capacities of Public Health authorities and partners for a cholera event in Ghana_x000D_
ii. To review existing plans and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for cholera and examine practical applications_x000D_

• Objective 1: To exercise the alert and response capabilities of public health authorities and partners for a chemical event_x000D_
• Objective 2: To review existing plans and guidelines for a chemical event response and examine practical applications_x000D_

Draft aimag emergency operations centre procedures were tested for information sharing, risk assessment, risk communication and the incident management system. The most recent exercise revealed that there was no coordinated surveillance or systematic risk assessment in place during peace time among sectors. The main area requiring improvement was the absence of a proper chain of command; decisions were mostly based on non-scientific considerations, public perception, acquired knowledge and experience rather than a risk assessment conducted by the technical team.
