14 TTXs: The overall purpose of these Regional Consultative meetings/simulations was to strengthen the preparedness and response capacities for all the regional pillars, under the leadership of the Regional Director (RD) and to enable them to effectively detect, isolate, manage infected persons and prevent or mitigate community transmission in their regions.

Bhutan - TTX

The exercise aims to assess the existing plans, procedures and capacity to manage a lockdown situation due to community transmission of COVID-19 in particular district or city.

1DR: The purpose of the drill was to assess Infection Prevention and Control measures at Windhoek Central Hospital Intensive care unit and the management of a critically ill COVID-19 confirmed case at the facility

1RRT: To enhance the skills and knowledge of surveillance officers and rapid response team members in disease investigation, contact tracing, reporting and documentation.

Ethiopia - TTX

The exercise objectives are:
• Review the operation management process for a suspected case of COVID-19.
• Confirm arrangements for notification, coordination and internal communications before and after the confirmation of a COVID-19 case.
• Confirm procedures related to the management of a suspected cases before and after laboratory confirmation.
• Review plans to clarify lines of accountability (roles & responsibilities) and communication to enable a timely, well-coordinated and effective response.
