IHR NFP SimEx (Crystal)_x000D_ The objectives of IHR Exercise Crystal 2018 were:_x000D_ 1. to validate the functional accessibility of the IHR NFP and WHO IHR DO using registered_x000D_ contact details;_x000D_ 2. to practice and test IHR NFP’s assessment of public health events using the decision-making_x000D_ instrument contained in Annex 2 of the IHR (2005); and its notification process including_x000D_ posting to the IHR Event Information Site (EIS);_x000D_ 3. to facilitate the cross-sectoral communication between IHR NFP and their national counterpart_x000D_ departments on public health event assessment and response;_x000D_ 4. to improve the understanding and familiarity of staff across Member States and WHO with the_x000D_ IHR NFP system; and_x000D_ 5. to test the video conference capability of the WPRO EOC and IHR NFP.
