Aiming to collaborate with stakeholders for biosafety activities in cross border areas, MBDS has developed the Biosafety Manual for cross border coordinators. Posters for “Biosafety and Biosecurity Protective Procedure for Mekong Basin Cross Border” for information education and communication materials have also been developed to serve as communication platform for Biosafety threat in cross border areas. Aforementioned manual and posters are for public and health personnel focusing on protective procedures and supported by Canada’s Global Partnership Program (GPP).

ASEAN Secretariat hosted the “Project Kick Off and Coordination Meeting of the ASEAN-Canada’s Global Partnership Programme on the Mitigation of Biological Threats-Phase 2” in Bangkok, Thailand on 29 – 30 January 2019. Representatives from ASEAN Member States (AMS), Canada’s Global Partnership Program (GPP), ASEAN Secretariat, Partners and MBDS Secretariat participated in this meeting.
