Joint External Evaluation (JEE) Orientation Workshop

The WHO Regional Office for the Eastern Mediterranean and the WHO Country Office Egypt recently organized a preparatory Joint External Evaluation (JEE) workshop to prepare national counterparts for their upcoming JEE evaluation.

The workshop convened 80 technical staff across diverse ministries such as Health, Agriculture, Environment, Civil Aviation, Foreign Affairs, Interior, Trade and other IHR sectors; these national participants engaged in discussions on the status of IHR implementation in Egypt and efforts to strengthen multisectoral coordination.

Participants were provided with guidance on self-evaluation requirements for the JEE and worked within JEE Technical Area sub-groups to familiarize themselves with the evaluation tool.
