Upon recognition of a radiological incident or accident, the HMC Silver Command will activate its Bronze Commands. ED Bronze Commander will activate the decontamination team at ED.

This will enable HGH to rapidly and safely respond to medical emergency during different levels of radiation exposure and contamination events.

Radiation Emergency Care General Principles:
- Stabilize life-threatening medical conditions first
- Assume contamination until definitively ruled out
- Limit radiation exposure using distance, shielding, and time
- Begin decontamination promptly once the patient is stable
