NAPHS for all: a 3-step strategic framework for national action plan for health security

Region All Regions

The WHO Secretariat published “NAPHS for All: a 3-step strategic framework for NAPHS” to provide technical guidance and support to develop and implement a national action plan for health security (NAPHS).

NAPHS is a country-owned, multi-year planning process based on an all-hazards, One Health and whole-of-government approach. It transforms recommendations from risk profiling into actions strengthening country health emergency preparedness and IHR capacities. It captures priorities for health security, brings sectors together, identifies partners and maps resources for health security capacity development. The Secretariat is finalizing a country implementation guide, tools and templates and the IHR benchmark tool for the NAPHS framework.
