The WHO Regional Office for Europe (EURO), in collaboration with the WHO Country Office and WHO Headquarters, conducted a pre-assessment workshop in Chisinau, Republic of Moldova from 19-20 June 2018 to train and prepare the responsible national representatives for the upcoming Joint External Evaluation (JEE), which will take place in October 2018. The workshop included 35 participants, who represented 12 different ministries and agencies of the government of the Republic of Moldova.

This multisectoral representation is key for ensuring a broad engagement and close collaboration throughout the JEE process as well as beyond to strengthen the implementation of the International Health Regulations (IHR) (2005).
