Inspiring Inclusion: WHE Joins the International Women's Day Campaign 2024 to #InspireInclusion

This year's International Women's Day theme, "Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress," resonates deeply with the World Health Emergencies Programme's (WHE) commitment to #InspireInclusion.

Launched in 2022, our Gender Mainstreaming Strategy isn't just a plan, it's an action manifesto. We're actively transforming WHE to become an even more gender-responsive Programme, one that empowers women and leverages their unique talents to build stronger, healthier communities.

Here's how we're #InvestingInWomen and #InspiringInclusion:

Promoting equality, making data-driven decisions, empowering staff, breaking barriers, fostering an inclusive culture, preparing women, measuring progress, collaborating with experts, and leading by example in health emergency prevention, preparedness, response and resilience.

Investing in women isn't just the right thing to do, it's the smart thing to do. It's about harnessing the collective power of all individuals, regardless of gender, to build a healthier, more equitable future for all. Join us on this journey, let's #InvestInWomen and #InspireInclusion together!
