InPRIS Project

Building and strengthening core capacities for Influenza Preparedness and Response in Support of International Health Regulations (IHR 2005)

Epidemic influenza: a major issue in terms of global health

The main goal of our project is to strengthen the monitoring networks of influenza virus in Africa and Southeast Asia, particularly in terms of bird flu, and epidemiological studies.

To achieve these objectives, the project implements surveillance activities and trainings that will provide support for outbreak investigations.

It also focuses on the implementation of International Health Regulations (IHR, 2005) at national level.

This project is funded by the Office of Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response (ASPR) within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) and is implemented by the Institut Pasteur International Network (IPIN) in Africa (Senegal, Centrafrican Republic, Cameroon) and South-East Asia (Cambodia).
