Indonesia Takes the Lead in Global Health Security Agenda

Indonesia’s Minister of Health yesterday opened the global coordination meeting for Action Packages under the Global Health Security Agenda (GHSA), in Jakarta, 23-25 August 2016. GHSA Partners from more than 17 countries, international and regional organizations, and other stakeholders are convening to assess the implementation progress of GHSA Action Packages. GHSA is an initiative to develop global capacity to prevent, detect and respond to biological threats. It is a platform for countries to collaborate in implementing the World Health Organization (WHO) International Health Regulations (IHR) 2005. Indonesia is currently chairing the GHSA Steering Group.
