The Joint Risk Assessment Operational Tool (JRA OT)

The Joint Risk Assessment Operational Tool (JRA OT) has been developed by the Tripartite organisations (FAO, OIE and WHO) and technical experts to provide guidance on how to set up a joint risk assessment process at national level. While it describes step-by-step how to conduct each component of the process, it also provides model documents and templates to support its implementation by staff from national ministries responsible for management of zoonotic diseases.

Once you've reviewed the JRA OT and introductory 2-pager below, you are ready to access the JRA OT facilitation materials.

Once you've read through the 10-step JRA OT process, you are ready to get started with planning for the JRA OT. You will find three important facilitation materials on the following tabs :

  1. JRA Ancillary Files for Conducting the Workshop – This tab contains all the documents needed to conduct the workshop.

  2. JRA Online Training for Implementers – This training will support you to effectively facilitate the 10-step JRA workshop

  3. JRA Video Presentations – These video presentations can be used in the agenda to introduce workshop participants to each of the steps. If you would like to present yourself, we have provided ppts with transcripts.
