Last Thursday, 30 April, the International Health Regulations (IHR) Emergency Committee for COVID-19 was reconvened, three months after they first declared the COVID-19 outbreak as a public health emergency of international concern (PHEIC).

Unsurprisingly, the Committee unanimously agreed that the outbreak is still a PHEIC and provided advice to all states on everything from surveillance to health workers.
