Guidelines for COVID-19 prevention for international road cargo transport

As in many parts of the world, East African countries have restricted movement to curb the spread of COVID-19. However, services such as transporting essential goods is allowed, including transnational truck drivers who ferry cargo inland. To prevent or minimize the risk of cross-border COVID-19 transmission, the World Health Organization has developed infection prevention and control guidelines focusing on pre-departure, transit and at border crossing stages of international road cargo transportation.
