2017 comes the 65^th anniversary for the WHO GISRS (Global Influenza Surveillance and Response System).

GISRS comprises more than 150 institutions in 113 countries - 

• Thanks to the Members States and partners for the enormous support making the critical defense - GISRS effective in protecting the world from influenza pandemics and epidemics.
• Thanks to several generations of scientists, from the developing and developed world, in the past 65 years dedicating to influenza surveillance and control.

On this occasion, the Global Influenza Programme in WHO HQ is to organize a Global Meeting with National Influenza Centres of GISRS at the World Health Organization, Geneva, Switzerland from the 17-19 July 2017 to review the path of the 65 years and more important further the GISRSagenda to the next phase of 10 years.
