Enhancing Health Security through a comprehensive whole of government approach

Date: March 2017 Country Finland

In March 2017, experts from the World Health Organization (WHO) and other international organizations, as well as other countries examined Finland’s preparedness to respond to extensive health threats. At the end of the voluntary peer-to-peer evaluation process, the external team gave recommendations for further development of Finland’s health security. In the development of the National Action Plan, the recommendations have been integrated into the comprehensive Security Strategy for Society.
