Pilot – Quality Assurance Mechanism for Modified Mosquito Production
The PQ programme for VCPs (PQT/VCP) within the Special Prequalification Programmes of the PQ Unit, has developed a proposal for the piloting of a Quality Assurance Mechanism for the assessment of Modified Mosquito Production.
The following documents have been developed and are being published for the purpose of a 60-day public comment period prior to the launch of the proposed pilot.

The public comment period will be open from 28 August 2026 to 30 October 2026.
Comments may be provided in .pdf form as a stand-alone document and/or comments added directly to the downloaded published documents. To the extent possible, please provide one set of comments from your respective organization, aggregating the comments of individual reviewers.
All comments should be submitted to WHO PQ by email to pqvectorcontrol@who.int.
Please use the subject line – “Comments on Proposed QAM Pilot documents – [Insert organization name].”
Following the public comment period, WHO will review the submitted comments to inform potential changes to these documents and to inform the initiation of the pilot.
