Dong-gu District, Gwangju Metropolitan City is the Member of Global Network for Age-friendly Cities and Communities, and retaining its qualifications to 1st(3 year) and 2nd(5 year). For intends to establish and implement the 3rd action plan in accordance with 4 implementation strategies and 8 areas in compliance with WHO guidelines in order to maintain membership of WHO Global Network for Age-friendly Cities and Communities.
The Vision of the 3rd Age-Friendly City is ‘Percise welfare city!, BEST Age-friendly city, Gwangju Dong-gu’
There are 4 Strategies in this plan.

The 3rd Action plan of Age-Friendly city is developed, based on WHO guidelines of 8 areas, and related policy objectives have been established.
