MENTOR-AFE: Building leaders for the next decade of age-friendly

cities and communities

Do you have an age-friendly program you'd like some feedback on? Want to accelerate your skills in developing a new age-friendly project? Want to boost your technical expertise in the age-friendly approach? Then sign up for MENTOR-AFE, the Age-friendly Environments Mentorship Programme. This is an exciting global leadership development opportunity that brings potential mentees and mentors together, to build skills that are important for successful age-friendly environments. MENTOR-AFE provides:

• As a Mentee - an opportunity to obtain guidance for specific projects, accelerate your overall skill development, and grow as age-friendly experts with the support of a mentor

• As a Mentor - a space for you to share your knowledge and experience while reinforcing your own leadership and expertise, by developing mentees’ skills to lead, influence and implement age-friendly environments

Applications for both mentees and mentors close 30 May 2018 (Wed).

Update your profile page!

If you are a member of the Network, one of the best new features of our updated website is the opportunity to showcase your city or community's progress on the WHO Age-Friendly Cycle directly on your member profile page. This not only helps you feature more prominently at the international level, but can also give you opportunities for collaboration with other cities, and allow us to give you the necessary support.

On your profile page you can share:

• The commitment letter from your mayor or city leadership

• Your baseline assessment

• Your strategy and action plan

• Your evaluation

• Age-friendly practices that you submit, once edited by us, are also shared on your member page

Did you know? New membership certificate

You can also download your new membership certificate directly from your profile page once you login!

Be a featured member!

We will be choosing up to 24 completed profiles to highlight on the front page of Age-friendly World over the next year. Make sure your profile is updated by 1 July 2018 to be considered.

Keep your membership

It is a requirement of membership to maintain an updated profile page, to show progress and active participation. We encourage you to login regularly to provide updates.

How do I update my page?

You can find the guide for updating your profile from your Member's Space. You can access this page when you are logged in, here.

Should you have any questions regarding updates, please do not hesitate to contact us at gnafcc.admin@who.int
