Yongsan-Gu has set a vision of “New change, age friendly city of Youngsan” to create an environment to prepare for the ageing of society

Four main objectives and eight areas under the objectives were set. The details are as follows:

• Communication and Information

[Objective 3: Warm hearted and Happy, Care+]

• Health, Community support and services
• Respect and social inclusion

[Objective 4: Full of energy, Participation+]

• Civic participation and employment
• Leisure and social activities

A total of 32 plans over five years were planned. The vision of Yongsan-Gu, key issues, and guidelines were derived from analysis on Yongsan-Gu’s environmental conditions, benchmarking of other cases, analysis research of age-friendliness of the district, and gathering experts’ opinions through FGIs (Focus Group Interview).
