Summary

FOZ CÔA MORE SOCIAL 2016 – Intergenerational MeetingThis initiative is designed to promote active aging of the elderly, this time placing a greater focus on the issue of the importance of the relationship between generations.In this event we were held extensive range activities designed to encourage the sharing of experiences and knowledge between generations.An initiative aimed at the elderly, children of Foz Côa Group of Schools, the Senior University and has the support of numerous local entities would not be alien to most this action, such as local associations and private companies (hairdressers, veterinary, bakers, farmers, etc.)The elderly, through various workshops, could teach children various activities: traditional games, bread making, dealing with farm animals, recreating the experiences of the old primary school. In turn, the children taught to older computers, painting and evaluation of health parameters.

They feel they are more active, improved their management capacity, creativity and planning, their social and personal skills were encouraged. They feel they make a difference in their community and are really restaraunt to improve the living conditions of the region where they live.
