Establishments that complete the checklist are offered an Age Friendly Illawarra chair as a visible symbol of their commitment.

The simple evaluation found that greater resources were required to broader the scope of the idea. Also that consolidated approach to large chain retailer might be more efficient.

Looking back

Challenges:
The design of the chair we used was questions multiple times. We discussed the assessment of the chair but budget and time constraints prevented the project going forward if we had pursued this path. We also proposed to engage volunteers to engage retailers to self audit, but it has been challenging to identify the target demographic interested in driving these efforts.
