Effective 1 January 2026, the WHO Prequalification Programme will introduce an annual 10% increase on all applicable fees that have remained unchanged since 2017. This adjustment will apply for 2026 and 2027 (an additional 10% on the 2026 baseline). Thereafter, fees will be reviewed every two years.

This cost-recovery measure is essential to sustain the quality and efficiency of services provided by the WHO Prequalification Programme.

In addition, the current fee waiver system will be discontinued as of 1 January 2026. An internal WHO mechanism to support manufacturers and access to essential medical products in specific areas is under development and will replace the waiver system.

At present, Vector Control Products (VCPs) and snake antivenoms will continue to be exempt from fees until further notice.

The relevant fee tables have been updated on the WHO Prequalification website.
