The World Health Organization Prequalification Unit Vector Control Product Assessment Team (PQT/VCP) has the pleasure to host a Technical Consultation on Gender Mainstreaming in Vector Control Product Regulation. This consultation will be held in Geneva, Switzerland from 23-25 September 2025.
This three-day consultation will consider the generation of data for vector control product assessment and review the current guidelines, requirements and available guidance to identify gaps and develop recommendations to ensure that product assessments are gender equitable.
The first day of the technical consultation will be an open meeting to allow interested observers to attend and will focus on a status review of gender mainstreaming in product regulation, ongoing research into gender aspects of vector borne disease, and current WHO prequalification approaches to product regulatory assessments for VCPs. Days 2 and 3 of the technical consultation will be closed meetings for the development of recommendations by the advisors.
