Professor Soonman Kwon holds a BA in business economics, a MPH from Seoul National University, and a PhD in health economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Professor Kwon has held visiting positions at many universities including Harvard School of Public Health, London School of Economics and Political Science and University of Toronto. He has also served on numerous editorial boards for leading international journals. His major areas of scholarly interest are health economics and finance, ageing and long-term care, and health systems of low-income countries.
