Elderly members of the Department of Social Services visited the Sharjah International Book Fair in its forty-first edition, as part of the programs and initiatives of the city of Sharjah, which is considered an age-friendly city.

This visit comes within the framework of caring for the elderly and encouraging them to participate in social and cultural events, enhancing their effective role in society, and embodying the interactive approach of Sharjah’s vision of achieving social integration for all segments of society.

The exhibition was visited in a spirit of joy and interaction, as the tour included reviewing books and purchasing some of their favorite publications.

The elderly expressed their great admiration for this event, which is considered a wonderful opportunity to expand their horizons and enjoy their time in an enjoyable and useful way in light of the joy of the book fair.
