Unley Legends Series 2

Meet the Unley Legends

Rosemary & Villi – ‘Sharing a piece of the pie’ Vilis Family Bakery founders Vili and Rosemary Milisits have always been an inspiration, and now they are proving that age is just a number and doesn’t have to restrict you from being active in your community.

Bernice – ‘A Century in Unley’ Still very young at heart, as Bernice celebrates her 100th year, she reminisces and reminds us that we should celebrate ageing, and encourage community connectedness and compassion.

Liz – ‘The Wednesday Girl’ A young Unley Legend, Liz knows more than most people about what it means to age, and she helps the people she visits to enjoy every minute of it.

Roger – ‘Community Member for Life’ There is no doubt that five-time Sturt Football Club premiership player Roger Rigney is an Unley Legend, but even after all these years he still continues to inspire us as he proves age is no barrier to living life to the fullest.

Neila & Geoff – ‘Sharing the love’ These two love birds have been married for 71 years! Both in their 90s, their love for each other is as strong as ever and they still find time to share that love with the others around them.

Ashley – ‘Eco Warrior’ Be prepared to be inspired. Ashley is about the nicest bloke you will ever meet. Dedicated and passionate about taking care of the world we live in, Ashley still finds time to give back to the community in so many different ways, continually reminding us that age is just a number and doesn’t have to restrict you from being active and involved.
