Towards an Age Friendly Racecourse

Ireland is acknowledged as the first Age Friendly Country in the world by the World Health Organisation [WHO], on account of the approach taken to preparing for an ageing population. Across all administrative areas of the country, there is an active Age Friendly Programme leading a strategic plan of work to support older people in their communities.  This case study documents how the WHO four stage process was adapted by the Kildare Age Friendly Programme and Naas Racecourse to future proof the sports facility for ageing.
