The 14th Elderly Services Forum

His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Salem bin Abdulrahman Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Office of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, witnessed yesterday morning the launch of the 14th Elderly Services Forum, held under the theme “Renewed Giving and Endless Leadership.”
The forum, organized by the Sharjah Social Services Department, took place at Al Jawaher Reception and Convention Center.

The opening ceremony also witnessed the launch of the “Senior X” platform, a pioneering initiative that celebrates the wisdom, achievements, and inspiring life journeys of senior citizens. The platform aims to build bridges of communication between generations by highlighting stories of resilience, innovation, and contribution beyond the age of sixty. It aspires to become a global reference for meaningful dialogue, inspiration, and appreciation of the elderly around the world.

Ahmed Nasser Al Naqbi, Executive Director of the Branch Affairs Sector at the Social Services Department, delivered the opening speech, welcoming attendees to the forum, which he described as an embodiment of Sharjah’s vision to empower the elderly.

Al Naqbi emphasized that the continued success and sustainability of this forum reflect Sharjah’s pioneering approach to providing the highest quality of services to senior citizens. He highlighted that this stems from the wise vision and unlimited support of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, who seeks to establish the emirate as a global model of a cohesive society that values and honors its elderly.
