Sharjah Age-Friendly Office honors the cooperating institutions during the last three years in the “Partners Meeting”

Sharjah Age-Friendly Office organized the second “Partners Meeting”, which aims to honor all categories and entities of coordinators and collaborators with the office, in addition to government departments at the level of the Emirate of Sharjah, for their positive impact in promoting practices directed to the elderly and on the other hand, highlighting the role of the Emirate of Sharjah and the efforts it is making to confront the challenges facing the global issue of aging, through its application of international standards set by the Global Network of Age-Friendly Cities, of which Sharjah has been the only Arab member since 2017.

During the meeting, the results of the strategic plan 2021-2023 were reviewed, the results of which were encouraging, especially with regard to fulfilling the eight axes set by the network. During the last three years, it achieved 98% of the strategic plan, to which 27 institutions and departments in Sharjah contributed, which confirms the importance of partnership. Community and sharing roles between the Sharjah Age-friendly Office and its partners to reach the desired goals.
