On Wednesday, September 21, 2022. The Information and Education Center “Senior in Opole” welcomed a delegation from the City Council of Seniors of the City of Łódź. With great kindness, we hosted our partners in the modest gates of the Senior Center. The purpose of the visit was to share experience concerning daily activities, functioning of the councils in the seniors environment, using available funding as well as the rules of organizing events and tasks for the seniors of our cities. We obseved with great interest the new initiatives and forms of work among seniors presented by the Łódź Council. They will surely be helpful in our future activities. Despite only a few hours of our meeting, we presented our guests with a walk “Opole in a nutshell” presenting the most important historical places. Our National Center of Polish Song aroused undisguised admiration. The whole thing ended with the so-called discussion panel where there was no end to topics and conversations. At the end, we received an invitation to visit Łódź and learn in detail about the working methods of the Łódź Senior Council.
