On November 29, 2022 The Information and Education Center “Senior in Opole” organized a senior’s ball on the occasion of Saint Andrew’s Eve for 320 people. The offer was addressed to seniors from the city of Opole. The ball was initiated by a ballroom dance show by a pair of young dancers with tournament achievements, which was rewarded with thunderous applause. Then all the gathered participants and invited officials lined up for a solemn polonaise dance. It was followed by a welcome of the gathered seniors and officials and speeches. The official part ended with a solo bachata show by seniors from SC of the dance formation called “Senioritki”. After the official part, all participants ate a warm dinner, then they went to the dance floor. Seniors practically did not leave the dance floor, where, apart from traditional dancing in pairs, there were also dances in a circle, and crazy snakes. The catering offer, apart from a warm lunch, also included: cake, pie, cold plate, cold appetizers as well as hot and cold drinks. The music was provided by a professional DJ. SC employees took care of additional attractions and animations. Among them were: drawing lots for St. Andrew’s fortune, buying tickets for a raffle, the proceeds of which were donated to a worthy cause – supporting the treatment of a teacher from the Special Schools Complex. There were also such attracions as joint Zumba, and an auction. The gathered seniors once again showed that they can have a great time and enjoy the opportunity to play together and contact their peers. Fun in a joyful atmosphere lasted until late in the evening.
