On December 8, 2022 The “Senior in Opole” Information and Education Center hosted seniors from the Senior Council in Gliwice. The purpose of the visit was to familiarize seniors from Gliwice with the activities of SC and the Council of Seniors of the City of Opole, as well as to exchange experiences. The visit began with a meeting in SC, during which seniors could learn how CS functions and how the Council of Seniors of the City of Opole works, there was also an opportunity to exchange experiences. Then the guests went to Day Care Center “Złota Jesień” to get acquainted with the activities of the facility. Then they went to the Opole town hall, from where they went for a walk around Opole in the setting of the guide’s story. After a lunch break, the guests visited the Museum of Polish Song. The seniors of both cities were very pleased. Such visits are very valuable and necessary, because seniors can exchange experiences, share knowledge and show how facilities and organizations working for the senior environment in different cities operate.
