This year, the Mayor of Peñaflor, Nibaldo Meza, had inaugurated the Community Center for the Elderly. In the activity were present communal authorities, neighbors and older adults of various organizations of the commune.

On the occasion the mayor stressed that the new Community Center for the Elderly, is a much wider and prepared place with all the comforts that elderly people need. In this new place, the council will make interesting programs and workshops available to people that will be held permanently. This Community Center is a new step in the commitment of the Council of Peñaflor as part of the Network of Age-Friendly cities with the Elderly.
