The Yarmouth Age Friendly Community Project will begin in July 2014. The Yarmouth Age Friendly Community Committee (YAFCC) will be appointed prior to project start date in June 2014.
A media campaign has been designed to align with this project as an educational vehicle. The launch of the project will be celebrated with a Chinese delegation to highlight the benefits of the project.
In the first year, the YAFCC will facilitate focus groups, surveys and a media campaign to engage and include all citizens. The summary of findings report will be presented to the Yarmouth Leaders, such as the Town Administration, Board of Selectmen, Finance Committee, Department and Division Heads in September 2015. Resource allocation, grant solicitation and implementation will follow for three years including measurements and opportunities for continuous improvement.
