The City has just adopted a “Complete Streets” Resolution which emphasizes equity in transportation for all users; with sensitivity toward older persons. The City has partnered with the Town of Los Gatos for a Pedestrian/Bicycle Master Plan. In addition the City will participate in a Senior Transportation Pilot Project with other West Valley Cities. Recently we have organized an Age Friendly Task Force and conducted focus groups to get a better understanding of the unmet needs of older persons. We plan to reinstate a printed newsletter to mail out via post to the entire Monte Sereno population with the awareness that not all members of the community are technology users.
