Our contribution will always be framed in the search to increase ties between different national and international institutions, for the benefit of older people. Currently, our Municipality is open to receive and share each and every one of the strategies to achieve inclusion of older adults and to make our communities age-friendly. Older people give us wisdom and it will be a pleasure to share our knowledge, culture, hospitality and happiness with others so that we can jointly create an age-friendly world.

Our environment is changing and this leads us to seek alternatives, including new forms of growth and development for our older population. To be part of this transformation and to be able to draw from the advances happening in a globalized world, we recognize the need to participate with different national and international stakeholders, which can be made possible through the Global Network of Age-Friendly Cities and Communities. At the same time, we are convinced of the great contribution that our municipality could make to the Global Network.

We have different strategies aimed at engaging and recognizing older people in the development of age-friendly initiatives in Ixtlahuacan de los Membrillos from cultural activities to infrastructure planning, and we look forward to sharing these with the rest of the Network, as well as learning from others so that we can continue to learn and grow together.
