Current Age Friendly Activities include;

• Ensuring access to quality transportation services: construction of 3.1 km of road; building a public transport station; providing 30% of village streets with lighting.
• Adaptation of public buildings and outdoor spacing to meet the needs of older people: providing public buildings with ramps and railings to ensure access of older people and people with special needs; construction of two public WCs; renovation of public park.
• Increasing older people’s communication and access to information through the organization of annual community meetings, distribution of 250 informative leaflets quarterly
• Increasing older people’s participation: 22 cultural events organized with the participation of older people and the organization of interest groups for older individuals.
• Intergenerational activities: 16 activities with the participation of young and older people from community.
• Increasing access to community services: the offering of home-based care (social and medical) services provided by CASMED by hiring two social workers and two medical assistants from the community; creation of a waste collection service provided by a municipal enterprise.
• Ensuring older people are secure in their houses: creating a database with houses that need restoration and allocation of resources for reparation works; installing smoke detectors in 100 houses to prevent suffocation from stoves; two houses renovated.
• Identification of community issues based on a vulnerability assessment study. Development and approval of a new age friendly strategy for 2020-2022 and commitment to implement it.
• Promotion of the Age Friendly Community concept at regional and national level through local and national mass media.
• Identification of Local Ambassadors and creation of Initiative Groups involved in Age Friendly activities.
