The Sharjah Housing Department announced the allocation of rent assistance to elderly families with limited incomes until a housing solution is found. This initiative is part of the strategic plan of the Sharjah Age Friendly Program.

The Department of Housing provides rental assistance according to a strategic plan followed with the program, which is committed to providing 40 assistances over the years 2021-2023.

The department has already started working on implementing the initiative since the beginning of this year, with a total of 33 assistances, which is considered an outstanding achievement.
