Sharjah Age Friendly City office held the annual “Global Best Practices Meeting for Elderly Services”. The Emirate, and the meeting will target the coordinators of the Sharjah Age-friendly City program from government and semi-governmental institutions in Sharjah who are participating in the implementation of the eight axes of age-friendly cities.

The aim of the meeting is to communicate with coordinators from local authorities and institutions by reviewing pioneering global experiences in the field of age-friendly cities and also activating our role in the global network of age-friendly cities. For age being one of the requirements for the sustainability of Sharjah’s membership in it, adding that the meeting contributes to developing services for the elderly and choosing what is appropriate for our environment and society.
