The Human Resources Department launched an initiative entitled “Preparing for Retirement” as part of the strategic plan of the Sharjah Age-Friendly City Program. The initiative included workshops and training programs to prepare the employee for the post-retirement phase. The initiative is mainly related to the idea of Sharjah joining the global network of age-friendly cities. The Human Resources Department was keen to make this initiative include all employees in the city.
The efforts made by the department to prepare the employee for the post-retirement stage are among the most important addresses that it is interested in conveying to people through the workshops conducted by the Human Resources Department throughout the year.
About 7 courses have been offered so far since the launch of the new age-friendly strategic plan for the Sharjah office at the beginning of the year 2021.
