The Sharjah Prevention and Safety Authority provides a series of workshops for employees of government departments in Sharjah, which are concerned with home and facility safety, and which are characterized by the inclusion of the elderly in emergency plans. An example of these workshops is the fire safety workshop, emergency response plan, prevention and safety guidelines in public facilities and workplaces, evacuation exercises procedures for public facilities and workplaces.” These workshops shed light on safety procedures and measures of prevention and protection from risks in public facilities, especially if the elderly are present.

Since the beginning of the implementation of the strategic plan of the Sharjah age friendly Office, the authority has implemented 5 workshops and Coordination is currently underway to implement a larger number of workshops.
