In order to enhance the protection of senior citizen and bedridden in Sharjah the department of social services in Sharjah has reveled the number of beneficiaries of home delivery services and medical supplies for senior citizens, people with disabilities and bedridden. The number of the beneficiaries has reached 1983 people since the start of launching the service in April 2020 until June 2021. The service is implemented by the social service department in cooperation with health authorities. The initiatives are considered as one of the health and prevention initiatives that launched by the department to prevent cases from risks as proactive steps.
