Easter breakfast on the square near the Town Hall in Opole

On April 5 this year, the Opole Easter Breakfast was held on the Opole market square for the sixth time. Numerous residents, despite the unfavorable weather aura, were greeted by the exhibitors with richly and colorfully set tables. On the tables, apart from Easter sweet braided bread and cupcakes, there were various tasty snacks, egg spreads and even hot sour soup served by the mayor of the city – Arkadiusz Wiśniewski.

The event was attended by schools, kindergartens, community centres, care and educational institutions, social welfare homes, day care homes, non-governmental organizations, senior clubs, district councils, the Senior Council, the Social Poviat Council for the Disabled and many other organizations. In total, 70 Easter tables were presented on the market.

For the first time, Easter tables were prepared by foreigners who live in our city. We could see what a Ukrainian, Taiwanese, German, Lithuanian, Georgian, Czech, Roma and even African Christmas table looks like.

During the event, workshops for children and adults were organized by Cepelia Headquarters of Folk and Artistic Industry in Opole. It was possible to prepare your own Christmas decoration under the supervision of an instructor, while culinary workshops were organized at the Ukrainian table.

All breakfast participants received Christmas gifts. In addition, the contest for the “Unusual Easter Cake” was settled, and the most beautiful tables were awarded with prizes for the exhibitors who prepared them. Table No. 46 prepared with great care by seniors and employees of the “Senior in Opole” Center was noticed and appreciated and we are very happy about.
