“Al-Ilm Noor” Participants Use Google Maps Technology for Their Mobility”
The Sharjah Social Services Department – Dibba Al-Hisn Branch organized an educational
and recreational trip for senior participants of the “Al-Ilm Noor” program, as part of its
initiatives aimed at empowering participants to adapt to modern digital life and enhance
their life skills.
The trip included educational and practical activities introducing the use of modern
technologies. Participants were trained on how to benefit from Google Maps to identify
routes and reach destinations easily and efficiently.
This initiative aims to promote the concept of modern technology among programs
participants and support them in integrating digital tools into their daily lives, contributing
to easier mobility, greater independence, and keeping pace with the requirements of the
digital age.
The trip received positive interaction from the participants, who expressed them
enthusiasm and readiness to learn and apply these technologies in their daily routines.
In this regard, Tahani Al Naqbi, Director of the Dibba Al-Hisn Branch, stated that the
department is keen to regularly implement strategic programs and activities that empower
mothers and enhance their ability to use modern technologies. She noted that technology
has become an essential part of daily life, and mastering it contributes to simplifying life
matters and improving quality of life.
She added that these programs aim to integrate mothers into the digital transformation
process and enable them to keep pace with technological developments, positively
impacting the family and the community.
