Summary

The senior fair attracts many

For the fourth time, the Senior Fair was held in Hallstahammar municipality and attracted a large number of visitors. Nearly 800 visitors came to this year’s Senior Fair. Hallstahammar municipality has 16 700 inhabitants. The theme for this year’s Senior Fair was Quality of Life for Seniors. This fair is organized by Hallstahammar municipality in cooperation with the municipality’s pension organizations. During the fair, you could meet all the relevant organizations, the medical service, the fire brigade, the police and also many local traders.

The purpose of the fair is for seniors to meet, socialize and be given information from the community, health care, fire brigade, insurance companies, travel companies and many more.

The fairs focus was as mentioned earlier quality of life for the elderly and it is the older organizations that together with the municipality are responsible for all aspects of the planning and design of this fair.

Nearly 95% of the visitors liked the Fair and gave the fair positiv feedback, The elderly liked the possibility to inteact we old friends, talk to the Community and get infromation. This in combination with foodtasting was succesful.

Challenges:
This Fair is organized together with the organisations in the Community. This is really a fun part of the year and it will always bewelcommed. We will keep on offering this fair in our Community.
